One of the things I like about creating T-shirts on Zazzle.com is that text-only designs take only a few minutes to create.
So when I was puttering around the lab the other day, pondering old computer technology, IBM's old EBCDIC character-encoding standard came to mind. Long made obsolete by ASCII, EBCDIC was a contender back in the day.
So I whipped out a shirt to remind those of us of mature years of the old format wars:
My EBCDIC Can
Whip Your ASCII
Will it sell? I have no idea! But you cast your bread upon the waters, and you get soggy bread, and maybe seagulls and fish. Perhaps a mermaid asking if you have any Grey Poupon. And so it goes.
